Swedish massage:  Most common and best known type of massage.  Variety of techniques applied to  muscles to reduce stress, or for specific medical conditions. It can be relaxing or invigorating.  It is an excellent way to help rid the body tension and achieve a sense of overall well-being.

Deep tissue Massage:  Another form of Swedish massage.  Deeper work and pressure to relieve muscle stiffness and pain.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage:  Lymph system is a slow moving system of vessels , lymph nodes that works along the circulatory system. Primary function of the lymph system is to defend the body against disease by cleansing, detoxifying and nourishing the body’s tissues.  When lymph system is blocked , toxins may accumulate causing interference with cell nourishment and depress immune system. 70% of lymphatic system lays just under the skin. LDM is therefore an extremely light circular pumping movement that stimulates and encourages lymphatic flow in the body. This type of treatment is beneficial for detoxification, headaches, sinus congestion, stress, one who suffers from lack of energy, sluggish immune system, arthritis, and lymphodema.

Muscles Energy:  A gentle approach to treat hypomobility(stiffness) and restore proper biomechanical functions to the joint(s). The client will experience improvement in the range of motion of the joint, decrease in muscles tightness, spasticity, reduction in pain and will strengthen and balance weakened muscles. The therapist will do an assessment of the spine to locate where the joint dysfunction is occurring. Muscle energy is a direct and active technique where the client will participate for maximal results

Myofascial Release:  Fascia is a densely woven connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, organ, nerve and blood vessels in the body. Fascia is the tissue that gives your body its structural form and shape.  MFR is commonly used in chronic conditions where stress, trauma or injury has occurred. Overtime fascia thickens causing restrictions,  pain , postural changes, tension and stiffness. Myofascia is a very effective hands on technique that involves applying slow and gentle sustained pressure to rehydrate fascia , eliminate pain, tension and restore motion.

Therapeutic Deep Tissue Sports Massage – Therapeutic Sports Massage is one of the fastest growing forms of treatment for athletes for the prevention of injuries, enhancing performance and in rehabilitation. The sports therapist applies a range of techniques including therapeutic soft tissue massage, gentle mobilization, and stretching techniques to restore function to muscles and joints before, during and following sporting participation. Sports Therapy is founded upon an intimate understanding of the structure and bio-mechanics of the musculoskeletal system.

Pregnancy massage:  A great way to alleviate stress and tension through out entire  pregnancy.  It is know to improve maternal mood, decrease depression and anxiety, decrease pain,  muscle pain,  spasms, swelling and sciatica. Massage therapists are professionally trained to work with you to develop an effective and safe massage treatment.  Specially designed cushions and supports are used to ensure safety and comfort.

Postpartum Massage  – Massage therapy is not only beneficial before childbirth, but also after wards.  It plays an important part in the restoration of the abdominal muscle wall and the uterus  which speeds a woman’s recovery. Massage during the postpartum period is also a very successful component in reducing postpartum depression.

Reflexology Treatment – It is based on the premise that there are reflex areas in the feet which relate to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body. The therapist uses the side and top of the thumb to be used on each reflex areas.  If the reflex area is out of balance a slight tenderness will be felt in the foot when pressure is applied. Reflexology can be used to help problems such as migranes, sinus congestion, back and neck pain, and digestive disorders.  Treatment can be used for an overall relaxation or for more specific conditions with a course of series of treatments.  Treatment to the feet will take 1 hour. Beginning with reflexology treatment and ending with a foot massage.
